In Botkin’s Hidden Cove, Botkin from Gnome Town had gone to visit his friends near the Hidden Cove only to discover that an Evil Witch Doctor had taken over the area. In this new adventure, the player is tasked with discovering the mystery of the Hidden Cove and by building safe place for all of Botkin’s Friends.

This game launched in May 2012 and was a successor to Disney’s Gnome Town. This game at first featured a Hidden Object Game coupled with a Builder. Over the course of Live Operations the game was pivoted from the original model to a builder only and then to a Bubble Saga game.

I worked on Botkin’s Hidden Cove from January 2012 – September 2012. During the course of development and live operations, I was promoted from an Associate Product Manager to a Product Manager. My responsibilities included the following:

  • Aided in the creation of the content plan and pipeline for the game
  • Collaborated in the development and implementation of all game content including storyline, text, economy and questlines
  • Assisted in live operation pivots that markedly improved game performance
  • Managed the outsourced QA team throughout development and live operations of the game
  • Took over day to day management of the game in June 2012
