General Description:
I joined the Star Wars: Commander project in March 2014. When I came on board, the project had been in development for approximately six months. The game successfully launched on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone in October 2014 and continued in live operations for several years.
Star Wars: Commander is a midcore RTS game where players choose to fight for either the Rebellion or the Empire. Players direct battles with troops created using resources collected from their base or won in combat. Players fight against the opposite faction based on their choice at the beginning of the game—Rebel players fight against the Empire and vice versa. This applies to both PvE content and PvP.
My Responsibilities:
My responsibilities on the project included:
- Led production as part of the leadership team for a team of approximately 50 developing a cross-platform synchronized game on iOS and Android
- Managed multiple development pods during each milestone, overseeing different aspects of the game including UI, third-party integrations, and feature development
- Coordinated relationships with Disney central services teams including Localization, Disney Mobile Networks, Disney QA, and Submissions
- Ensured the game passed Disney QA and first-party submissions on schedule
- Awarded the Anvil award in Q3 2014 for significant contributions to Forge Studio
- Promoted to Lead Producer following successful worldwide launch on iOS, Android, and Windows
